Two Small Transitional Navajo Rugs
4 ft. 4 in. x 32 in. and 4 ft. 1 1/4 in. x 33 1/4 in.
Provenance:Sold Sotheby's, NY, The Collection of Andy Warhol, April 24-26, 1988, Lot 1641.
The larger rug has a 7 1/2 x 3 in. loss on one end, one small hole, areas of reweaving, fraying at the selvages with minor wear and staining. The smaller rug has uneven selvages, fraying at the ends, a 4 3/4 x 2 in. semi-circular stain on one end with areas of reweaving.
