Auguste Edouart (1789- 1861): Cut-Out Silhouette Group of Two Gentlemen in Parlor and a Single of a Young Man Holding Top Hat

Each inscribed, 'Aug n Edouart fecit 1831 and 1832', the group with wash background, the single with printed background highlighted in pencil; together with two printed silhoutette portraits of gentlemen; variously framed.

Frames 15 x 11 1/2, 14 x 10 1/2, 17 3/4 x 13 3/4, and 17 3/4 x 14 1/4 in.

Provenance:Group: The Stanley Paul Sax Collection, Sotheby's New York, Lot 472 (one of three). Single: Sotheby's New York, April 2, 1998, Lot 25.

Condition:

The backgrounds with yellowing, one of printed figures with water staining.
